Daily Update – Aug 9, 2024
No strength training scheduled today
I finally got a run in. The temperature was cooler today and there was a consistent breeze so I decided to head out for a run even though it was already 10am. Today’s run was an Easy Run with Hill Strides added at the end. However, because it has been nearly a week since my last run, this session was anything but easy. I was supposed to do 8 sets of hill strides, but after the 4th set I started feeling… not so well… so I decided to cut it at half the sets rather than push it and risk injury or heat stroke. I ended the session with a 1.5 mile walk back home. The last 250 meters or so, I developed a pain in my left hip and left knee. It was sore all night. Still the session was a good one and I was so glad to be able to get out for a run. I hope the weather stays cool enough to let me get more runs in.
