Exploring Adaptive Training Platforms for Runners
I am going to try something different here. I am experimenting with editing and video ideas. I do not currently have the equipment or software needed to really make this (especially the audio voice over) appear professional, but am trying it out to see what works and to provide a little variety. There are two things in this video that I am really not happy about, but it is what it is. The first is the bounce of the camera when I am running all out in this session. I am holding a selfie stick and it is next to impossible to run at a 9-10 min pace and not move your arm. No amount of image stabilization is going to deal with the camera quickly moving several inches up and down like that. The other thing is the audio itself. I do not have a good microphone and was using the windows audio recorder, so there were clicks at the start and end of each recording. I recorded this from a script and did each paragraph as a separate recording because each time I messed up I would have to do the whole damn thing over again. With a better audio recorder, I would be able to cut and re-record just the parts where I messed up. Unfortunately each recording had a click in the beginning and end that I was able to clip off with the crude video editor that comes with this camera.
Lastly, I am embedding the video directly into the blog post rather than referring to a video platform like YouTube.
Since I do not have any races planned until later this year, I am going to take the next several months to try out different adaptive training platforms. The first one is TrainAsONE, an AI driven adaptive training planner.
The following is a list of training platforms that I am considering giving a try.
