Keto Chocolate Lava Cake
This just might be my new go to dessert. It is so quick and easy to make. Took about 5 minutes from start to eat.
Cottage Cheese is the new fad ingredient for keto this year. It is high protein, various fat options and low carb. It is also versatile in is use for baking. It is the base for this ‘cake’ instead of flour.
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup cottage cheese
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons powdered peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons confectioners Swerve
- Half a handful of sugar free chocolate chips
That’s it. Add it all to a bowl. Stir until well blended. Microwave for 90 seconds.

- Calories: 260
- Protein: 22.8g
- Fat: 9.5g
- Carbs: 9g
- Sugar: 4.4g
Tips
- Use a high speed blender to turn the cottage cheese from curdy to smooth if you don’t want chunks or cheese pulls.
- Room temp egg
- Sub whatever type of sugar free sweetener you prefer
- Use a couple berries instead of chocolate chips on the top
- Use a pinch of salt or coffee/espresso to bring out the chocolate flavor.

I was actually surprised the outside was cakey and the middle was like lava.
Let it cool a bit and devour! I really loved it and can easily see myself getting sick of it considering how quick it was to make. I think I will be tempted to make it too often 😉
