Daily Update – July 28
Today was not a great day for working out. I overslept my alarm and missed my window for a run. I tried to do my strength training, but couldn’t perform all of the exercises. My right elbow is just too sore to be able to put my body weight on it. That meant planks and pushups were a bust.
Dealing with injury
I have been quite lucky the past year. Other than a fall I took while running and ended up with abrasions on my knees and palms and the occasional tendonitis in my right knee, I haven’t had any injuries. This elbow thing though is causing a hiccup in my plans.
I am going to alter the exercises I do for the next week to reduce stress on my elbow. Cutting out all strength exercises that involve that elbow and focus on stretching/movement exercises for that arm.
I also need to decide how I want to handle the missed running workout.
