Training Update – Aug 26, 2024

Running Workout

For the first time in over 2 weeks, I completed an entire running workout without anything going wrong. It was still tough as it was on the treadmill and I was tired and ready to call it quits at 3 miles, but I went the full distance. Ended up doing 4.78 mile workout with a 1 mile warmup so 5.78 miles in total. I was absolutely drenched in sweat and my legs are Jello now, but it was so worth it. The average pace (including the cooldown) was 11:51min/mile and that is just ahead of my old 5k PR pace. Perhaps I am still on track for a PR in the next race.

Strength Workout

The same routine as I have been doing. I haven’t added in the modified ab work yet. That will be coming up soon.
